Jumbo Paper Roll High Speed Rotary Knife Sheet Cutting Machine

The great cooperation with FORMEX group  

In June 2024, we received an inquiry from Juan of FORMEX Mexico, who was sourcing a rotary cutting machine for hamburger wrapping paper.This equipment should be designed to horizontally and vertically cut paper rolls into custom finished sheet sizes.

FORMEX : The TOP Paper/Label group in Mexico and also have great influence in Latin American market ,established 50 years ago . professionally making the hamburger wrapper paper ,thermal paper ,paper bag ,continuous forms,label packing etc .

On the same date ,i replied his email together with complete solution file .

Only after 10 mins ,i received the follow -up email from Juan . who showing clear interest while raising his first technical concern: could this rotary knife sheeter process pre-printed paper rolls?

We confirmed the machine fully supports pre-printed materials and attached a demonstration video of pre-print paper cutting for his reference.(video is below)

One technical note for pre-printed packaging paper: the machine relies on a photocell sensor for registration tracking, so it can only run one jumbo roll at a time. For blank unprinted paper, multi-roll simultaneous feeding is available as standard.

Juan acknowledged this limitation and brought up a second question: can the longitudinal slitting knives divide one roll into four separate lanes in a single run?

The answer is still :Yes .  this is Raloyal sheeting machine standard function .

After this reply email , Juan did not deliver any question by email ,it is around 6 days silence .

I guess Juan must be very busy and have no time to talk.

On the date of 29th ,June 2024 , i sent an photo to Juan by email .

I told Juan ,our machine is very easy operation ,only input 3 data value on this screen .

One month passed without any response from Juan, which led us to judge that his project was not an urgent priority.

To reinforce our manufacturing credibility, we shared on-site photos of our rotary knife paperboard sheeter installed at Arclad’s production plant in Colombia— a brand Juan was familiar with.

9 months passed ,on 13th March 2025 ,i received an email from Juan .

He still remembered our brand Raloyal and me ,

He told me :“ i want to put on track this project and want to review the cutting machine ”.

And he have another 2 doubts :

1 :Whether the cutting machine can slit the trim 5mm  ?

2 :Can the photocell track the register mark (as photo below )

Both the 2 question’s answer is :Yes . this is the machine standard function.

In the coming time , Juan told me that they also want the cutting machine to inline the packing machine together to achieve the full automation , --Good idea !

The high postion factory are chasing the high automation . ---this is the correct strategy ,which have the forward-looking perspective to make decision.

Maybe this is the reason why their company can be ranked TOP in the world .

After several rounds of email correspondence to confirm various details, we finally confirmed the order in the first week of June.

Now the machine have made the FAT sucessfully and delivered out .

We plan to pay on-site visiting to FORMEX on next year ,during the time we take part in the LOUPE Mexico 2027.
